Wall systems for sound control
Rigid wall barriers and sound curtains are ideal for temporary locations or for less demanding sound control situations for oil and gas wellsites and compressors. See more at wall barriers.
Ambient noise levels along with a full band noise analysis are used to design the structure to best control the noise, and to meet the required specifications.
We use Standard Kinetics NOISEBLOCK™ STL panels for the sound absorbing wall systems. They are fabricated with outer skins of 18 gauge galvanized steel and inner skins of 22 gauge perforated galvanized steel. Panels are stiffened with 18 gauge steel channels. Sound absorption is provided by 2.5 to 6 pcf fiberglass or mineral wool depending on the application. Standard panels are nominally 4" thick, but optional 2" and 6" panels are available to meet special requirements. 2" panels are rated at STC 37 and NRC .95, 4" panels are rated at STC 40 and NRC 1.00. |
